Sport and Osteochondroses

Osteochondrosis is a family of disorders that affects the growth of bones in children and adolescents. The disruption of blood flow to the joints is often the cause.

Though certain diseases in this family can affect older adults, they’re most likely to affect children and teenagers whose bones are still growing.

Osteochondroses may cause pain and disability. The most common form is Severs disease most commonly presenting in active teenage boys, who present with heel pain and pain in the Achillies tendon.

Specialising in biomechanics, sports pathology and care for the diabetic foot, we offer a wide range of services ranging from the treatment of all conditions of the skin, nails, bone pathology and soft tissue.
